‘When I became responsible for supplying DWP with a contracted payroll service, we were almost totally paper handling based. I called IPC in, who were already providing a Bureau service to our Accounts section, to see what solutions they could provide. The result was a system that scans our incoming post and using OCR technology, delivers data direct from employee completed forms to our payroll system, cutting out the need for data entry. Forms not complying with individual sets of rules are put into workflow for on screen handling. The result has been the ability to supply a faster more cost effective service to DWP and we’ve dramatically reduced the potential filing mountain.

I’m now responsible for a wider range of service centres, and will certainly be looking to use IPC’s services in them wherever the need arise'.
