IPC’s EDM solution - M.Store - was tailored to meet the challenges, including the use of bar code separator sheets to identify patients and divide records into relevant sections to maximise scanning throughput and minimise operative intervention on indexing. This also involved connectivity with the main patient system – HISS.

Most users of information are used to filing in terms of Cabinets and Document types – so naturally M.Store IPC’s EDM system uses the same format for ease of use!
To store information away, or to retrieve information users select the relevant cabinet and then have options to select individual document types, or all document types for a client / project, with additional filters such as date.
Document cabinets are just like a digital filing cabinet but stored on a central database with document security and access control, so confidentiality and who can see what is in your control- a lot more secure than paper.
Document Types are just like a file in a filing cabinet, for example Invoices, Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes etc. With M.Store you specify what the document types should be and you can have as many as your business requires. And with M.Store’s Related Documents facility we can electronically ‘staple’ different but related documents together, so when you view one you can see all related documents at the same time!
