The work they do has created a major filing archive, that is also growing, and this led to the leasing of a separate property just to contain the overflow of filing from the main offices. In order to avoid the necessity for taking on more property themselves, Rapleys’ Chris Young looked for an outside storage company.
‘I already knew IPC as we have had on going discussions with regard to the possibility of implementing a Document management solution. Whilst this is still a future possibility, our priority was to better manage our current paper based system requirements and IPC were ideally placed to do this for us.’
The storage, based at IPC’s Kings Ripton facility, provides the flexibility of retrieval that Rapleys require. IPC provided the correct strength boxes to Rapleys and they elected to fill them with individual files themselves. Rapleys then provide a list of the contents of each box which are added to IPC’s warehouse data base to facilitate retrieval down to file level.

We have an alarmed, CCTV monitored, humidity controlled warehouse where boxes of paperwork are palletised and stored. Files or boxes in storage with us which need to be accessed can be retrieved and delivered to clients either by courier or email within an agreed timescale.
